Melissa Salyers has been an avid dog lover her whole life. She is currently a dog mom to five rescue dogs that she considers to be her children. She began working with dogs in 2005 at a boarding kennel and Doggy Day Care in Albuquerque, NM. She has specialized training in pack management and multiple dog care and has attended 32 hours of training in Bend, Oregon with Mare Shay, one of the founders of the day care for dogs concept. Melissa has been working as a dog trainer since 2007 and has taught the dog training classes at Petco in Farmington, NM as well as the classes for San Juan College. She is certified in Pet First Aid and a Certified AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluator. She opened Canine Castle Doggy Day Care and Training Center in 2008 to dedicate her life to working with dogs and providing them with a safe place to play and make friends.
